November 6, 2006 - Holy help me Hanna!!! I could have sworn that I put an update out here sometime in October. GEESH, was I wrong!! I didn't even decorate my page for Halloween this year with all the wedding / trip planning. Scott and I were thrilled that Mom, Dad, RoxAnne & Miles (from my side) and Granny, Uncle Donald, Aunt Tammy & her friend (from his side) were able to make it out to Las Vegas to attend our unconventional wedding. I have so many things to say about it, but it's getting late and I have to be up early tomorrow. Right now I will say that Las Vegas was overwhelming for me, mostly because of all the people - I avoid the malls as much as possible during the holidays because of all the people, yet I willingly traipsed up and down the strip on a Saturday night!!! I wouldn't have done it if Scott hadn't been with me. Crowds just freak me out. Sorry, that's it for now. Tomorrow I have to head up to Anoka for a special meeting. Thankfully I am not traveling alone. I don't get to spend very much time with the person I'm traveling with, so this trip will be a great time to catch up! Love & hugs y'all, November 14, 2006 - I decided that it would be easier, at least for now, to use a photo sharing program like Yahoo! photos to share our wedding pictures. I am still going to scrapbook the physical pictures, but picture sharing tools like this make it quick and easy for everyone to see them as well. This past weekend I used the Online Photo processing that Lewis Drug offers. I was rather surprised at how quick and easy it was, though a little disappointed that they only print the photos on glossy. When I went to pick the pictures up the lady in the photo department recognized me and apologized that matte wasn't an online option - didn't realize that I'm one of the only patrons who normally asks for matte finish... While I wait for the pictures to upload, I'm going to whine about being off Synthroid ... I've only been completely off for one day. This time seems different from the first two because yesterday and this morning I am just exhausted and yesterday I had serious brain fog. I'm hoping that, now that I'm done traveling (until Thanksgiving which is a little over a week away) I'll get "caught up" on sleep and my symptoms will not be as bad. Yesterday my manager at work noticed that I was "quiet" and while I was up in Anoka my co-worker observed the same thing... just that I was quiet. I'm afraid that people are thinking that I'm angry with them because I have told very few people that I have to go through another round of treatments and that I'm off the medication. I did tell a couple key people, you know, the people that others go to when they want to know what is wrong with me :) This time is going to be 3 weeks off the medication too, because we didn't want to have the RAI treatment interfere with Thanksgiving in any way. While I might be a slobbering lump at the dinner table, at least I'll be at the dinner table! Ok, enough whining! The photos have been uploaded - I suppose I should add titles and rotate the ones that are on their side before I post the link to them, yes? Ok, I'm not a fan of Yahoo! Photos ... so lets see what I can do with Wal-Mart's program. You know, I should really be taking a shower and getting ready for work right now ... but I told several people that I would get these pictures online for them to see and I had better get that accomplished now while I'm thinking about it or it will probably not get done at all. Ok, done ... I put the link at the top so it is harder to miss! Love & hugs y'all, November 19, 2006 - We received more photographs of the wedding and the Las Vegas trip. I uploaded them to a virtual album and the links are above! I will probably be taking all of the albums down around the 1st of the year, or after I get them loaded on my own pages here within my website... Until then, happy viewing! With all the activity during the last part of October and early November, I pretty much lost my financial perspective because I wasn't keeping my spending journal up-to-date. I've concluded that, much like weight loss, my finances are in much better shape when I take the time to physically write things down and then remember to take the time to do the math! We tend to find ourselves between rocks and hard places when I take the time to do those two relatively simple things. Not much else right now. Think I'll go start packing some stuff up to take with us on our Thanksgiving adventure to my parents farm (better to get that process started now and have it mostly done). Love & hugs y'all, |
