January 9, 2007 - Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years Day!  It's amazing how quickly time goes, especially when there are so many things going on.

On the day after Thanksgiving, Mom & RoxAnne hosted an open house for Scott and I.  It was so much fun to see everyone and get to spend time with family and friends, some that I haven't seen for 6 or more years!!  We feel so blessed to be loved by so many people.

I traveled to Wisconsin for Christmas alone because Scott had to work.  It wasn't quite as much fun without him there, but we made the most of it.  The entire trip was just very relaxing and peaceful for me.  Grandma Waterman was sick this year, so wasn't up to baking or Christmas dinner, so Mom, RoxAnne, Aunt Georgia and I made a couple batches of Bräzeli.  The are, after all, the traditional Swiss cookie and it just wouldn't be Christmas without them!  Thinking back, I honestly can't remember a year that we didn't have Brazeli around the house during the Christmas season - often in several ice cream pails (one batch makes around 300 cookies).  I was the only one who didn't have a cookie iron to work with, so I ran between the three of them rolling little balls of dough (not as easy as it sounds).  It was a BLAST!!

On New Year's Eve, Scott and I toasted in the New Year with a bottle of Moscato (one of our wedding gifts).  We spent most of New Years Day laying around and channel surfing ... just another lazy day at the Kidder house!

Love & hugs y'all,
